Umm ... the UK is allowed to control its borders, and decide which
neo-fascists get in. Do I win a prize?

Yet I can't say I've seen you support Trump in his efforts to secure
the US borders. I guess you think the US is the only country not
allowed to control its borders.

Of course. People who go mental when migrants sneak aboard UK-bound lorries in Calais get all indignant when anyone else tries to prevent such things.

Every nation is allowed to decide who crossed their borders. I think
Trump's wall is a ridiculous waste of money, based on a stereotype, because
in recent years, there's been a net outflow of Mexican immigrants, and more
that half of the people added to the list of not lawfully present are people
who arrived legally, and overstayed their visas.

Trump's other dumb initiative is to attack NAFTA. One of the theories
behind NAFTA was that if Mexico was lifted up economically, and there were
opportunities to get ahead at home, fewer Mexicans would feel the need to
get to the US to escape poverty.

that is very poor analysis...

the environment has become far less welcoming

socialist countries build walls to keep people in as they lose
their brightest to more advanced states

stable states put up walls to economic migrants...from countries
with lower standards....

there are several incentives and disincentives to migration

the capitalists want cheap labour...the lefties want ignorant
voters...and so both lots are inclined to imports from
relatively backward states...
the middle classes want to protect what they have...

the more people from backward areas, the more they tend
to degrade the comfortable life styles of the middle classes
so reaction sets in...

the poorer country often wants to send out immigrants who will
send money back

much of this is feedback systems

it is not simplistic as you present it...

Anyways, doesn't Britain allow jihadists to return from the battlefield, but
now it seems detains conservative
commentators like Southern? I just want to make sure I have my facts

we had 15 years of socialism...it has left an almighty mess
to clean up...

the sovereignty sold out to a politburo in brussels so their
freedom of action is severely limited by contracts with
said bureaucrats

a dreadful debt mountain...in a context of unemployment
and dole scroungers by the million...
the military gutted and so on...

it's gradually being sorted out but it is not much fun

We have had a few years ourselves, plus the legacy of chicago thug politics
in our house... I imagine it will take Trump a few years to clean our
government up.

Well, it seems pretty shitty that happens in Britain.... But look at what we
have... Hoft's comment was spot-on... These
people are not hiding in the shadows.... I couldn't go to Mexico and pull
the shit they are pulling here.. They are SERIOUSLY
hell bent on turning us into another third world shit-hole..

That "net outflow" was nothing more than catch and release. Drop em
off at the border and let them right back in. Interesting that the
libs believe this was a real number.

An "outflow" matched by a slightly reduced inflow.

It went down...then it went back up again
