A new study of Ghent University, says that women in the Belgian Capital are
sexually harassed or intimidated on a mass scale.
Nearly nine out of ten of Brussels' women faced a form of sexual harassment
in the past. One in three is still suffering from the impact on a daily

result according to other European studies.
The study was requested by Belgian state secretary for equal opportunities,

In March the campaign "HandsAway Brussels" will start. It's goal is to
report street intimidation with a special telephone application.
Almost six years ago, student Sofie Peeters made a documentary about sexual
intimidation on the streets of Brussels. It shows how frequently women are
harassed and intimidated.
