TONY Blair is preparing to abandon Labour as a lost cause and set up a new political
party for disillusioned moderates in anticipation of a crushing election defeat,
it has been reported.

I think many people expected that to happen. But since Corbyn has
managed to convince people that he achieved a stunning surprise victory,
those people who were expected to leave are hanging on to his
coat-tails. Of course, they may get kicked out anyway, if they don't
toe the line.

No idea. ISTM that his position is secure. Even the BBC are on his
side now that he's confounded their plotting. Unless the tories
organise themselves, which they seem reluctant to do, I see only a
socialist apocalypse heading our way.

It'll be interesting to see, that's for sure. He seems to have the
young on his side, and these young aren't buying houses and settling
down to a contended, slightly more 'right-wing' existence. Maybe that's
part of the plan of those who favour much immigration? Maintain the
high cost of housing, so that young people remain disaffected. There
seem to be lots of ways that people are being prevented/discouraged from
growing up these days. I've even grown suspicious of Peter Pan and the
like :-)

you are noticing the things that matter...which is gratifying

it is vital the tories get housing moving in a big way...

of course slowing the immigration is a big part of that

i recall at the age of 7 deciding not to grow up because i associated
grown ups with dishonesty and hypocrisy....
it's a decision i have never regretted...

socialists seem to me to be trying to turn children into cynical old
people.

Well, 'growing up' is a bit of a broad term. I suppose I'm thinking of
independence or self-reliance, or something. I discovered dishonesty
and hypocrisy far too late. Even now, I tend to take people at face
value, and then get really annoyed when some dishonesty is revealed. It
makes me have periods where I stop trusting anyone for while.

i tell people to do the right things and trust the world...

andy would call it karma...

many people have stolen from me...the idea of wasting
years enriching lawyers is not my idea of acting effectively

if someone steals from you...you know next time that they
are one thieves

He seems to have the
young on his side,
He did when they thought he was promising them free degrees, at other
peoples' expense, but that misapprehension seems to have since been
dispelled.
