Ian Hislop and Paul Merton did the most wonderful hatchet job on Cummings.
Ripped him and his stories to shreds.

That episode should be put on endless repeat showing in Downing Street until
Jumble Johnson gets the message.

I hope the BBC switchboard is now jammed with self-combusting Sir Archibald
Rowing-Nugents demanding the programme and its production staff to be
keelhauled, what?

Israeli occupation forces have gunned down and killed two unarmed
Palestinians in the past 24 hours.

Iyad Hallak (L) was on his way to the school he attended.

Fadi Samara (R) was going to pick up his wife & children.

Experience indicates that there will be no accountability.

Ian Hislop and Paul Merton did the most wonderful hatchet job on
Cummings.
Ripped him and his stories to shreds.
That episode should be put on endless repeat showing in Downing Street
until
Jumble Johnson gets the message.
I hope the BBC switchboard is now jammed with self-combusting Sir
Archibald
Rowing-Nugents demanding the programme and its production staff to be
keelhauled, what?
HIGNFY... one of the main shrines at which pseudo-intellectuals gather

That must be how you found out that snippet. Otherwise, how could you
possibly know?
If you are trying to say that I don't watch it, you are, for once,
completely correct.
I bet you don’t, because it consists of quick witted ordinary people making
fun of posing egocentric politicians with their snouts in the trough.
more like slow witted highly predictable lefty cant posing as 'humour'

The irreverent satire would most likely cause you to explode.

Met him (Hislop) once on a cruise liner. Seemed a quiet nice unassuming chap! Nothing bombastic at all. He's an entertainer who can be entertaining but should never be taken seriously. He was pushing a book he had written. I didn't buy a copy. Not my sort of thing.

I do however enjoy his occasional TV historical documentary which tend to show some unusual insight. I seem to remember he did aa series on Europe. nevr liked him in his TWTWTW days. Too silly. Didn't do himself justice. Too much satire bore over time.

They all lie. All politicians are crooks - James Callaghan was probably
the last one to be remotely honest, and of course dear old Enoch Powell.

I thought Alan Bennett used to do satirical monologues on the programme, but

doesn’t mention him.

"Jazz Divas" on BBC4 last night (Saturday) reminded me that TWTWTW was
sort of revived in the form of Ned Sherrin's "Not So Much A Programme,
More A Way of Life", though the entertainment was a little more broad
than on the predecessor programme (hence inclusion of excerpts within
"Jazz Divas").

I seem to remember Lynda Baron being the featured singer, filling the
previous Millicent Martin role.

And wasn't Michael Crawford on it too, doing monologues to camera in the
character of "Byron", who had a Beatle haircut and spoke with the
then-trendy fake Liverpool accent? The accent was fairly convincing.

Looks like you've done plenty 'gathering'. Clearly far more than doing
anything useful.

There are those who sow and reap, those who just sow - and others who
just reap what others have sown. No prizes for guessing what category
you're in.
