Apparently there was ‘little doubt’ the killing was an act of terror.

The ‘man’ was aged 18 and was Moroccan. This is what happens if cultures
elevate religions to highly uncriticiseable levels.

Let’s ban all religions, and maybe we will get some peace and quiet.

Let's ban all religions, and maybe we will get some peace and quiet.
Even if it can be done, there's no guarantee it will work; people may
well find an even worse alternative. The root causes -- human weakness,
stupidity, and irrationality -- are still there.

Those in charge would never allow that, even though most of them have no
real religion - although they often hide behind one.

Another problem, of course, is that what is happening is all part of the
plan. A carefully executed plan, which includes making it a criminal
offence to make any effective objections to it.

There is only one solution, and that is for most people to wake up and
realise what is happening and why. The people still have the real power
if they wield it, and the PTB and the politicians they control know it -
hence the reason for more and more draconian laws to attempt to stifle
any dissent.

I fear you may correct, but there is no other solution. It has to be a
mass action, they will always pick off individuals or small groups who
raise their voice.

The media, government mechanisms and the forces of law and order were
'captured' long ago - so there is no hope from any of those areas.

Would it not be better to have an immigration policy which discriminates

The Soviets never managed it. It is certainly possible to ban behaviour
which constitutes a crime in the UK, except that the criminal law
already does that.

A bit more enforcement of UK law wouldn't come amiss, either. I'm damn
sure if I went to Saudi Arabia I'd be expected to obey their laws to
the letter. Incitement to commit crime is itself a crime, and failure
to enforce laws based on race (or religion, which apparently now counts
as 'race') cannot possibly be anything other than racism, which was made
illegal half a century ago.

Unfortunately, our core liberal values have been corrupted by an emphasis on
tolerance without discrimination (using the original sense of the word).
Classical liberalism (nowadays seen as Fascism if you're a Millennial) wasn't
the free for all that is being encouraged to-day. Tolerance by its very nature
could not encompass ideas or behaviours that refused rational discussion and
reasoned debate; that would be self-defeating. The people who encourage what
masquerades as tolerance to-day (if you want to know just how tolerant they
are, observe how they react to any criticism of their ideas) are doing so in
order to attack our liberal values and Western civilisation at large.

Why is it that we have a Conservative government who absolutely refuse to get a
grip on illegal immigration, despite knowing that is just one of the things
that the public who elected them support? I realise now that it's true what a
number of people have been saying all along; some of us are paying attention to
the performance being enacted rather than what is going on behind the curtains.

I'm impressed that someone, somewhere, is still trying to teach kids
about freedom of speech. It was a hard lesson, though, and I guess what
they really learned is just how dangerous it can be - even in the west.
