Only the websites that are being used to teach children are under too much
load...

Maybe they should have used FreeBSD instead.

But the government is having to step in right now. The market is unable to
cope. Why should the market step in with the websites schools are relying
upon?

if anything is working, it is the duty of the government to step in

what do you think gov't is for?

You can’t go down the market. That has been banned, because people get too
close and hand over virus laden money for virus laden fruit/veg.

get surgical gloves and sterilize everything on return
(don't touch your head...if you cannot control yourself
then cut it off)

according to the estimators/liar...less than 1:10,000 are infected...
so if you're still a gambler

If one kid's mum stacks shelves in a supermarket and another's dad is a charted accountant, then the former takes precedence.

I can see only vaguely where Johnson is going with this one. He is clearly trying to reduce the school population to cut down interactions between children from different families.

However, it's very difficult to separate children into groups when they are spending their free time playing in the streets, recreation grounds etc. If the exposure of children to the virus is to be attempted by sending them home then surely it is a better strategy to send them all home rather than some of them. Otherwise, keep them all in school which is what he was doing before he introduced the measure and is the normal situation.

This measure was never intended as an experiment it was intended to reduce the risk of infection. It's difficult to see how it can fully achieve this. I alos fear the effect of this differential treatment on the older examination classes.
