Discussion:
The haves, the have nots, and the haves more than the have nots but not as much as the haves

It's going to get very strange:

https://www.theguardian.com/world/2020/mar/25/uk-government-set-to-pay-self-employed-workers-80-of-earnings

Some people who are unemployed will get 80% of their earnings, while
others will get the usual job seakers allowance, or nothing because of
computer error, or Irritable Duncan Syndrome.

Ah, but the idea is that all those who have been laid off will get offered
their old jobs at minimum wage when this is all over.

Win-win for employers, which should do wonders for the share price.

80% of earnings is simply a way of making minimum wage seem like manna from
heaven when jobs appear again.

Those in power have this all worked out in advance, which was most likely
confirmed in their October exercise.

I thought boris made a promise universal credit would go up £1000 this
year...to put it in line with promise of ssp....

Jeremy appeared to attempt to tackle boris with a good question on boris'
promise on renters not being evicted, but never really pursued the answer
like say paxman would have...

essentially boris rolled back to saying only end to no-fault evictions
was his promise... rent default is a fault eviction!

I'm increasingly convinced that having asked a question, few people
(especially most politicians and media interviewers) are really all that
bothered whether they get a proper answer. Exceptions (like Paxman) are
a rarity.
