And all because too many people "thought" the vote on 4th July was an
opportunity for revenge* or a jolly jape, rather than being the edge of
a deep abyss.

[* Whether for eating a piece of cake at work - when only beer and curry
were allowed - or against a party that had the temerity to select a
non-European as Prime Minister.]

Boris' sin was not holding a party, it was for requiring the whole
country except those in the know to obey rules that he *knew* were
pointless.

The Conservatives were not re-elected because they were no longer a
conservative party and did not even slightly represent the conservative
people of the country. It was not 'revenge', it was a refusal to buy
fraudulently-described goods.

BoJo did three things that broke the economy:

1) Brexit
2) Lockdown
3) Caused massive inflation by promoting war with Russia.

Starmer is essentially a conservative, maybe a little less honest, a
little less competent (even than the recent Tory shower). Voting Tory
would have made little difference to actual policy.
